Silkscreen, lithograph, and foil transfer on Stonehenge Natural
20 x 28 inches
Edition of 13
2026
Printed by Lane Sell with interns Julia Carlson, Julien DuChateau, and August Cole Gorton
A pop-inflected romp through life, death, and sexuality, this piece was constructed from an excerpt from the 1768 book Hieroglyfic: or, a Grammatical Introduction to an Universal Hieroglyfic Language written by Rowland Jones which discusses the philosophical underpinnings of language, the nature of man, and the origins of speech. Overlayed gravestone rubbings symbolic of mortality, physical decay, piety, and heavenly salvation radiate around a vulvar portal under a falling shower of reflective foil flowers.
